Only in Oklahoma do you find a shirtless man who took shelter in a barn after freeing horses in the middle of a tornado, and after the interview as a reporter, you tell him to holler if he needs anything.

HE IS SHIRTLESS, COVERED IN DIRT, AND WAS OUTSIDE DURING AN F5 TORNADO. At least offer him a shirt.

So today was my first day back to work (at a bank I’ve worked at since high school) for the summer. I had been there for maybe two hours and decided to make myself a cup of tea. As I was walking back to my work station, I accidentally spilled quite a bit of the hot water on my hand. My dad, who used to be a fireman and knows a lot about burns, just happens to work with me. I called him over after a while to have him look at my hand. He said it was a 2nd degree burn, and it needed ice. We couldn’t find any Ziploc bags to make an ice pack with, so he gave me a Fla-Vor-Ice to hold on it…while I was helping customers. It was super classy.

I just graduated from a university in Shawnee, which was hit by a tornado yesterday, and Moore is just about 30 minutes from Shawnee. This has all hit really close to home.

Just now, the news reported that the death toll is at least 51, which is likely to rise. Many of these causalities are children from an elementary school that was hit and destroyed.

Tornado Strikes Moore, Oklahoma

An EF-4 tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma today, causing widespread damage across a 20-mile path throughout the Oklahoma City suburb. The tornado has claimed at least 6 lives with many more injured and has left thousands without power.

Motherfucker, get off your high horses, you’re not celebrating patriotism or liberty, you’re praising the fact that your loved ones are being sent to die in horrible conditions, not before killing innocent civilians and armed rebels who point their weapons at them for a reason: fucking foreign soldiers are invading their homeland. And best case scenario for most, when they come back home, they do with a deep trauma and the chances they end up putting a bullet in their heads is ridiculously high.

No, your soldiers aren’t protecting you from anything. If anything, they’re creating more terrorists.
